The project promoter is the Association Excellence by Culture in partnership with the Romanian Academy Library.
Through this project we aim, in partnership with the Library of the Academy, to identify a priority case in the old Romanian literature and to digitize the manuscripts containing extremely valuable medieval Romanian texts, in order to provide a virtual research environment.
The most important purpose of digitization is to increase access to information and improve the preservation of documents, being the most appropriate way for widespread distribution of information. The project aims to digitize 60 manuscript volumes regarding the old Romanian literature from the XV – XVIII centuries.
A crucial factor in achieving the project objectives is that we use the professional expertise of specialists from the Romanian Academy Library. Through the communication activities proposed we’ll facilitate access to information for the general public as well as the professional public.

Through the objectives, activities and results which it proposes, the project contributes to the strategic objectives concerning the protection of national cultural heritage sector, within the sector strategies Culture and National Heritage for the period 2014-2020.
